Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift repair ties at MTV Video Music Awards, putting an end to their years-long rivalry
Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift seemed to be great pals at Tuesday’s MTV 2023 Music Video Awards.
Despite years of persistent rumours of a rivalry, there was no evidence of hostility between the two outstanding artists. Taylor Swift, the Eras Tour’s 33-year-old headliner, was spotted excitedly appreciating Demi Lovato’s performance of Cool for the Summer (Rock Version) at the awards ceremony.
Demi’s friendship with Taylor Swift was highlighted when a Taylor Swift fan account released a sweet video of Demi grooving to her live performance on X, formerly known as Twitter. Demi Lovato responded with a smiling face emoji surrounded by three hearts, showing her gratitude and support.
Demi Lovato follows Taylor Swift on Instagram, yet Taylor does not reciprocate because she presently does not follow anybody on her profile.
Rumours of a dispute between these two A-list musicians first surfaced in 2010. Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift both have a renowned buddy in Selena Gomez, who is 31 years old.
When a fan questioned Demi about her longstanding closest friend Selena Gomez, who was a co-star on Barney And Friends at the time, Demi famously said, ‘Ask Taylor,’ referring to some conflict between them.
Demi Lovato tweeted in response to Taylor Swift’s silent $250K payment to Kesha during her legal struggle with Dr. Luke, “Take something to Capitol Hill or actually speak out about something and then I’ll be impressed.”
Demi, on the other hand, never directly stated her claimed rivalry with Taylor in public, instead making vague references to her problems with the Anti-Hero singer in a 2016 interview with Refinery 29. Demi said, in reference to her prior contentious post regarding Taylor, that “I got too passionate.” “I get carried away on Twitter,” she explained, “and that’s what I said, and that’s that.”
Despite her refusal to admit any fault, Demi emphasised her displeasure, saying, “There’s nothing positive that comes from pitting women against each other.” There are certain ladies with whom I disagree, and that’s great.” ‘My point is, don’t proclaim yourself a feminist if you don’t do the job,’ she continued.
Demi Lovato backed Scooter Braun in her Instagram stories in 2019 during Taylor Swift’s legal dispute with Scooter Braun over the rights to her music, referring to him as a “good man.”
This was not the first time these two award-winning musicians looked to have reunited. Demi offered her support for Taylor’s seventh album, “Lover,” on her Instagram stories in 2019. “Life’s too short for women not to support other women,” she said, adding, “Especially when women release great music.” Excellent work, Taylor Swift.”
David Walliams has filed a High Court complaint against ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent production firm.
The suit against FremantleMedia is classified as a data protection action. Other information has not been provided.
From 2012 until 2022, the actor, comedian, and novelist served as a judge on the show.
He confessed to uttering “disrespectful comments” about two participants while shooting in 2020 last November.
He apologised and stated that the words “weren’t meant to be shared.”
According to The Guardian, a leaked transcript obtained by the publication revealed that he made insulting and sexually explicit statements about participants while shooting an episode of the talent show in January 2020.
In a statement at the time, the TV personality said: “I would like to apologise to the people I made disrespectful comments about during breaks in filming for Britain’s Got Talent in 2020.
“These were private conversations and – like most conversations with friends – were never intended to be shared. Nevertheless, I am sorry.”
Thames TV, which is owned by FremantleMedia, stated that while Walliams’ comments were private, his choice of language was “inappropriate.”
Fremantle revealed in January that former Strictly Come Dancing judge Bruno Tonioli will be joining Britain’s Got Talent for the 2023 season, thus replacing Walliams.
Walliams is still one of the country’s most successful entertainers. He rose to prominence on the BBC sitcom Little Britain opposite Matt Lucas.
During his stint on Britain’s Got Talent, he received the National Television Awards for best judge in 2015, 2018, 2019, and 2020.
He’s also a best-selling novelist, with titles such as Gangsta Granny and The Boy in the Dress.
The legal action was taken using Walliams’ true name, David Edward Williams. His representative has been contacted for comment.
FremantleMedia did not respond to requests for comment. The firm produces Family Fortunes, QI, and Never Mind The Buzzcocks, as well as Britain’s Got Talent, and is one of the country’s largest TV production companies.

Usher’s residency at the Park MGM Hotel in Las Vegas has been extended, according to the statement.

Jay-Z has called Usher “the ultimate artist and showman,” and has stated that he is “beyond excited” to watch him perform on the Super Bowl stage.
Usher has stated that he feels “honoured” to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show and that his performance would be “unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before.”
He’s also suggested that he could invite special guests on stage with him.
With over 100 million viewers tuning in each year, the Super Bowl halftime show is one of the most-watched television programmes in the world.
